Lyrics (Original Chinese, Pinyin Romanization, and English Translation):

他不羁的脸,像天色将晚。 (Tā bùjī de liǎn, xiàng tiānsè jiāngwǎn)
His unruly face, is like the sky at dusk.

(Tā xǐguò de fà, xiàng xīnzhōng huǒyàn)
Her washed hair, is like the flame in one’s heart.

(Duǎnzàn de kuánghuān, yǐwéi yìshēng miányán)
The momentary carnival, mistaken for forever.

(Màncháng de gàobié, shì qīngchūn shèngyàn)
The lengthy farewell, the feast of youth.

(Wǒ dōngyè de shǒu, xiàng gǔntàng de shìyán)
My hand in the winter night, like a searing promise.

(Nǐ shǎnshuò de yǎn, xiàng cuìruò de xìnniàn)
Your flickering eyes, like the frail conviction.

(Tānliàn de suìyuè, bèi wúqíng chánghuán)
The years clung to, ruthlessly paid back.

(Jiāozòng de xīnxìng, yǐ yānxiāoyúnsàn)
The arrogant and self-indulgent temperament, vanished into thin air.

(Fēngle, lèile, tòngle)
Wild, tired, ached

(Rénjiān xǐjù)
The human comedy

(Xiàole, jiàole, zǒule)
Laughed, screamed, gone

(Qīngchūn líqí)
Youth [is] curious

(Liángchén měijǐng nàihétiān)
Bright the morn, lovely the scene,

(Wèishuí xīnkǔ wèishuítián)
For whom to toil? For whom to be sweet?

(Zhè niánhuá qīngsè shìqù)
The years of youth are gone,

(Què biéyǒudòngtiān)
yet were charming and beautiful.

(Liángchén měijǐng nàihétiān)
Bright the morn, lovely the scene,

(Wèishuí xīnkǔ wèishuítián)
For whom to toil? For whom to be sweet?

(Zhè niánhuá qīngsè shìqù)
The years of youth are gone,

(Míngbái le shíjiān)
and we understood the nature of time.

(Fēngle, lèile, tòngle)
Wild, tired, ached

(Rénjiān xǐjù)

The human comedy

(Xiàole, jiàole, zǒule)
Laughed, screamed, gone

(Qīngchūn líqí)
Youth [is] curious
