Send Off Wei the Eighth, From Jin Xiang to the Western Capital Chang’an

Jin Xiang Song Wei Ba Zhi Xi Jing

Ke zi chang an lai
Hai gui chang an chu.
Kuang feng yin wo xin
Xi gua xian yang shu.

Ci qing bu ke dao
Ci bie he shi yu?
Wang wang bu jian jun
Lian shan qi yan wu.

Send Off Wei the Eighth, From Jin Xiang to the Western Capital Chang’an

The visitor arrived from Chang’an, now departing for the return trip
Wild winds break up my heart-mind
To hang upon the capital’s trees.

These emotions cannot be expressed
After this departure, when can we meet again?
Far off in the distance, no longer see you
Connected mountains arise above the mist and fog.
